The shoes themselves are not shockers. What makes these particular shoes “shocking” is that Jen and I both pinned them. It is really too bad that we don’t have the same size shoes, because I think our preferences intersect the most when it comes to footwear. Here are the shoes that we both like:
Aren’t they cute? I am actually in the market for some new shoes (to go along with my new wardrobe that I am working on!) so I’ve been checking DSW and Zappos for shoes recently. Yesterday I got an email from DSW with a $10 off coupon, so I decided to look for a pair of shoes or boots online. I had completely forgotten about this photo that we pinned until I came across the following shoes:
I don’t know what the deal is with all the white space around these images. Anyway, the top pair is Eddie Bauer Valerie Women’s Desert Oxford for $69.95. The bottom shoe is Madden Girl Dontee Bootie for $49.95.
They aren’t QUITE as awesome as the inspiration photo, but with different shoelaces I think they are pretty darn close!! I just might head over to DSW and check them out. I never thought I’d say this, but I am kind of leaning towards getting a bootie/ankle boot type shoe. It seems like such a good option for the Minnesota snow – and I could wear them with skinnies or my boot cut jeans. Who am I, blogging about fashion? That’s Jen’s job.
And now I shall go guzzle some more water.
Do you have a go-to shoe that works for boot cut AND skinny jeans?
