HAPPY MAY DAY!!!
Anyone delivering May day baskets to your neighbors? My intention is to take the girls to deliver some flowers to a few homes this afternoon. We’ll see if we get to it. I have grand ideas and many of them don’t pan out.
So, April is over. Last weekend I was getting ready to go on a women’s retreat with my church. And you know what? My pants were tight. This happens every single stinking April. I got on the scale and I gained 5 pounds. I can still fit into my pants, but they did not feel good.
Here’s the problem with April. My birthday rolls around, then Aaron’s, and several of our friends. Easter usually falls somewhere in or close to the month, and we get all these coupons for FREE COFFEE! FREE ICE CREAM! FREE DINNER! SNACKS ALL WEEKEND AT THE RETREAT! And I am horrible with discipline when it comes to birthday month. And chocolate. Especially chocolate that has any sort of peanut butter in it.
So here is my public declaration that by the end of May those 5 pounds will be gone. I know that 5 pounds isn’t really a TON, but it makes a difference in me being comfortable or uncomfortable in my pants. And I know I am training for that stinking 5k, so, that should help, but I really need to learn to have a little more self discipline when it comes to treats.
And the Farmer’s Market needs to open soon so it is more fun to buy fruits and veggies. :-) Sometimes the grocery store is such a drag. Ha!
Who knew five pounds could make such a difference? Big sigh.
