If you follow Jen or me on Instagram you may have seen that over the weekend we hosted a baby shower (with our mom) for our sister in law!! Our little niece or nephew is due at the end of September and we had a really nice morning showering our SIL with love and presents. :-) We thought it would be fun to share our decorating and food ideas with ya’ll in case you have any showers of your own to throw!
We decided to do a brunch and had the shower start at 10:30. The weather was GORGEOUS so we partied out on our mom and dad’s super huge deck (yes, we are jealous).
We decorated with the deck with baby clothes and bibs – similar to what we did for Kelly’s virtual baby shower! Jen made some fabric banners and we hung those up as well.
Jen picked up some paper balloon thingees from Target and we hung those up across the deck. We tied one end of the string to a light by the door and the other end in the tree.
We thought it looked pretty festive.
We had a lot of fun with the food. We decided to do an egg bake, some pastry, and a yogurt bar. My mom had the BRILLIANT idea of using mason jars for the yogurt! We filled them with vanilla yogurt (you could actually see the vanilla bean bits, yummy) and the guests put their choice of fruit and granola in the jars. They were a hit!
Our mom picked some flowers from her garden. Because you can’t have a party without flowers!
So there you have it! A fun, easy baby sower that didn’t break the bank. I hope it sparked some ideas for you!! We had fun putting this one together and we were really happy with the way everything turned out.
Just a reminder we have a giveaway going on right now! It ends on Friday at midnight!
