Happy Monday, everyone!
We hope you all had a great weekend. Jen and I hung out more than usual this weekend, and it was fun. Friday night we went to see a blues band play at Famous Daves in Uptown (Minneapolis). I stayed out till MIDNIGHT. Crazy for me. On Saturday we met up with our mom and grandma and took Matea school clothes shopping. It was fun. I decided it is good to take your kids shopping periodically because you find out that they are into things like sparkles. We then had girls night with some friends and watched Win a Date with Tad Hamilton. Neither one of us had seen it before.
Matea starts preschool today – we have our parent “mini class” today, and then Wednesday is Matea’s official first day. I can’t believe she is old enough for school!! I think she’ll have a BLAST after the first few weeks – it takes her a while to get used to new situations. With the start of her school it makes it really feel like fall…which is probably our favorite season. We’ve been pinning pumpkin stuff like crazy, so I think we should have a goal to eat as much pumpkin as possible.
I mean, how can you go wrong with chocolate pumpkin brownies?

And maybe for our next girls night we should try homemade pumpkin spice creamer from here:

Oh, the deliciousness of fall. I love it how when spring comes I crave garden food, but when fall comes around I crave fall food. :-) What are your go-to fall foods? Has anybody made homemade coffee creamer before?

Sounds like a fun, fun weekend!! I’m so excited for fall too. We had a cool front blow in Saturday which took the temp down about 20 degrees. It’s been amazing!
Those rolls looks so yummy! The cooler weather this past weekend really has it feeling like Fall around here.
Mmmm… I’m so ready to start baking with pumpkin! Yummm!!
Sounds like an awesome week-end! I’m still trying to like coffee…maybe it’d taste better with some homemade cream!
