Sometimes Katie and I surprise one another with something we like. I’m used to her liking rooms that are beige, tan, blues or browns with slim to no patterns involved anywhere (except sometimes the rug…because you can cover it up with a coffee table
). Here are rooms Katie loves:

Katie is used to me liking rooms with every color under the sun with stripes, polka dots, floral and paisley print (my living room has a blue, green, tan, coral, maroon and red floral couch, red and tan paisley print arm chairs, this rug, and a black and white striped curtain covering one of closets that holds my clothes…). Here are a few rooms I love:

You can imagine my surprise when I pinned this dressing room (which is actually someone’s spare bedroom in their house…I am quite jealous) and Katie loved it too. It must be her inner fashionista coming out.

If you check out the blog it came from, A Cup of Mai, you can see more pictures and details on where she got everything. I love basically everything about this room. I love the black and white with pops of lots of different colors, I love the chandelier and the fact that she uses her clothes as decoration. Katie loves the rug, the mirror and the unified look of the pictures (although we would both switch them out for something else…Katie would probably put up 5 different printable scriptures and I would put up a map, a scripture, a collage of pictures and some other random print).
We both just love the idea of having a really pretty room to get ready in every morning and just the fact that this room is so happy looking. We wish we had this room in your house. Maybe Katie should turn her guest bedroom into a dressing room? And I should…turn my dining room into a dressing room? Done and done.

I’m afraid if I had that much room I’d just make it a disaster area. My closet is big but not big enough for me to throw things around and make a mess. That closet is VERY pretty though!!
Ditto! I am sort of a slob. But I certainly can enjoy looking at such a pretty space…so when you make one in your dining room, let me know so I can gawk at it.
My rooms always end up looking more like the ones Katie pinned but my inner me would love to go all colorful like Jen’s picks. Maybe someday I will get the chance to unleash the inner me. For now I will just keep working with the neutrals I have.
I honestly can’t pick which room is my favorite! I love the rooms Katie pinned (and would love to have my house look like that one day) but I tend to style more like the rooms you chose with bright colors and bold patterns
I could not handle that closet. If that’s what mine looked like, there would be clothes all over the floor and on the chair.
Lucite chair. I need it! Oh how I love lucite….
That is beautiful! I feel like I’d be instantly more fashionable if I had a room like that to get ready in!
What am I then, since I love ALL of your choices. However, in the end, I think I will end up with a black and white themed scandinavian style interior!
